our faith. Eternal blessings are realized as we look for opportunities to be involved with God in His work. Investing that is rich toward God is having a passion for Him and what He is doing in the world around us. When God speaks, we show our love and our trust in Him by obeying His commands. When we take control of our own life, we are subject to the influence of satanic powers. Satan will lead us to think that decisions we make apart from God will not have a negative impact on our lives. Gradually, and subtly, he will lead us away from the wisdom of God and God ’ s Word. Our own reasoning can lead us to false conclusions when it comes to following God. Unless we are willing to listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and obey what He says, we will find ourselves standing in opposition to God. This can cause us to lose the opportunities for blessings that God has in store for us. The writer of Proverbs enlightens us as to why it is important to obey God: “ Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths ” (Prov 3:5,6). Obedience to God is another form of trust. It is the sign that we trust Him with all our O is for OBEY
