Our roots A nonprofit community,Warm HearthVillage was founded in 1974 byWybe and Marietje Kroontje, Dutch immigrants who came to the U.S. afterWorldWar II. You sign the agreement, pay the life-lease fee and when you move out, you receive a refund based on the length of time you have lived there. Life-lease fees vary based on size and features of the apartment home.
