Our roots A nonprofit community,Warm HearthVillage was founded in 1974 byWybe and Marietje Kroontje, Dutch immigrants who came to the U.S. afterWorldWar II. Eager to give something back to the country that had given so much to them,Wybe and Marietje created a welcoming community dedicated to fostering a person-centered approach to aging. Today, the reputation and longevity of Warm HearthVillage—combined with a wide range of options in housing, services and care—represent a stable foundation forWalnut Pointe.
