AMARA

Amara, pictured to the right, has so much support from her family! They would like Amara to “have services that will benefit her as she continues to grow up.” Her case managers, Nikki and Jessica, have worked with the family on the following goals: education, therapy, independent living, waiver supports, medical coordination, brain injury education, and advocacy. Brain Injury Solutions was able to research funding options for Amara to have an adaptive chair and new equipment that is portable.

Nikki and the family have worked with the following community partners to help support Amara: local schools, Easterseals, waiver providers, CSB, medical and therapy providers, early intervention services, and DSS. Nikki also advocates for Amara at her Individualized Education Plan meetings to help support her in the school setting.

JAMISON

Mae, a case manager working with Jamison, recently found that his insurance would no longer cover his physical therapy. His caregivers wanted him to continue with positive physical activity as they could see the improvements. Fortunately, Mae was able to help him apply for and receive funding from Commonwealth Community Trust for an elliptical machine and a walking device!

He is pictured here using the new walking device with his elliptical in the background.
