The Invitation to Communion Bishop:

The Gifts of God for the People of God. Take them in remembrance that Christ died for you, and feed on him in your hearts by thanks, with thanksgiving.

The Communion of the People The ministers receive the Sacrament in both kinds, and then immediately deliver it to the people. Please follow the directions of the ushers who will direct the congregation to Communion stations. Communion is offered in both kinds (Bread and Wine). At this service those who wish to receive the Wine may do so in one of two ways. You may receive directly from the first Chalice or you may receive by intinction (dipping the Bread into the Wine) from the second Chalice. A gluten-free option is available at all communion stations by request. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive the Sacrament of Christ’s Body and Blood in The Episcopal Church. If you do not wish to receive Communion, you are invited to come forward and receive a blessing. Simply cross your arms on your chest and the bishop or priest will bless you. All may join in singing the communion hymns.
