Consecration Program June 2026
Introductory Notes Welcome to the Ordination and Consecration of the Rev. Karin Lee MacPhail as Seventh Bishop of the Diocese of Southwestern Virginia. Everything needed for worship today whether in-person or online is available in this bulletin. Directions (rubrics) for participation in the service are included throughout the bulletin. If you are not able to stand or kneel comfortably you are invited to sit during those portions of the service. For those in person: please silence your phones and refrain from photography during the liturgy; event photographers and the livestream cameras will capture images to be shared widely so that we can remain present to the work of the Holy Spirit on this sacred occasion. Please notify an usher upon arrival if you need communion brought to you at communion. If you need assistance or have a medical emergency, please contact an usher.
Thank you to the people of St. John’s, Roanoke, for hosting the Diocese for this ordination. To learn more about St. John’s, particularly the history and symbols of the worship space, scan or click the QR code. The Ordination of A Bishop Prelude Te Deum
