CHRISTIANSBURG CHRISTMAS ON MAIN: CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING, CHRISTMAS PARADE, AND CHRISTMAS AT THE MARKET Dates/Times: Friday, December 13 from 5-8 p.m. Location: Main Street Additional Information: Each December, the Town holds its annual Christmas at the Market, Tree Lighting Ceremony, and Christmas Parade. Christmas at the Market begins at 5 p.m. where you’ll find a variety of vendors selling the perfect gifts for Christmas. The Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place shortly before 7 p.m. at the Square, with the Christmas Parade immediately following. Come be a vendor with us as the Christiansburg Farmers Market celebrates Christmas. We would love to have you as a vendor to help bring the Christmas Spirit to our Christmas at the Market. LIGHT UP YOUR HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS The Christiansburg Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a residential Christmas decorating contest. Staff members will visit each entry to determine the top entries. The top entries will be placed on the Town’s Facebook page for voting. Voting will begin on Wednesday, December 18 and run until 9 a.m. on Friday, December 20. The deadline for entry is Monday, December 9 at 5 p.m. Please visit our website for entry form. EGG-STREME EASTER EGG HUNT Dates/Times: Friday, April 11 at 7 p.m. Location: Christiansburg Huckleberry Park Admission: Canned food donation Ages: 18 & up Additional Information: Easter egg hunts aren't just for kids anymore! This egg hunt is sure to be a wild time! Can you find Easter eggs in the dark? If you can, you could win prizes! Participants must have a flashlight to participate. Please register online or at the Rec Center. We ask that each participant brings a canned food item to be donated to a local food pantry.
