While temporary employees receive all legally mandated benefits (Social Security and Workers’ Compensation Insurance), they are ineligible for benefits from Community Animal Clinic. If hired through a temporary service agency, temporary employees are employees of the temporary agency and not Community Animal Clinic.
The business makes the final determination of exempt and non-exempt status in accordance with the FLSA and applicable laws.
Employment Applications
Community Animal Clinic relies upon the accuracy of information contained in the employment applications, as well as the accuracy of other data presented and or solicited, including background checks, throughout the hiring process and employment. Any misrepresentations, falsifications, or material omissions in any of this information or data may result in Community Animal Clinic’s exclusion of the individual from further consideration for employment, or, if the person has been hired, termination of employment.
New Employee Orientation & Initial Employment Period
There is a 90-day evaluation period of adjustment in order to learn about the practice and his or her job. During this time, the employee will have an opportunity to find out if he or she is suited to, and likes, his or her new position.
Additionally, the initial employment period gives the employer a reasonable period of time to evaluate his or her job performance.
The initial employment period is 90 calendar days. During this time, new employees will work with a seasoned employee who will be responsible for training and overseeing their work. The new employee may be discharged at any time during this period, if it is concluded that the employee is not progressing or performing satisfactorily. Under the appropriate circumstances, the initial employment period may be extended. As is true at all times during the employment relationship with the Clinic, employment is not for any specific time and may be terminated at will, with or without cause and without prior notice, by
