S is for SURROUND

We should surround ourselves with other people who have a desire to know Christ and to walk with Him in a meaningful way. Because the world ’ s system is in the clutches of the evil one, we must constantly be on guard so that we are not drawn into the world ’ s way of thinking. Having others around us who share our biblical values and having people in our lives who pray for us and encourage us is beneficial for our spiritual well - being. The proverb, “ As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another ” (Pro 27:17), is certainly applicable here. It is also good to seek out those who can mentor us, someone who is an experienced and trusted spiritual advisor. A disciple who knows Christ intimately and can guide us toward spiritual maturity is of great value. Remember, the people we surround ourselves with will influence how we think. The things we think on influences what we become. Think about who has the most influence in your life. Are they stirring up your passion for Christ?
