50-Year-Reunion

Husband had back surgery in 2002 and had other health issues so we sold the motor home and he went on disability in 2008. We divorced in 2017. My girlfriends decided we needed to go on a cruise to the Bahamas, my first, which I dubbed my “ Divorce Cruise! ” The divorce finally came while we were gone. In January, 2020, I retired after 33 years of being school bus supervisor. It was no longer fun, and I was tired of the stress! I still help out a couple of mornings a week in the office and occasionally drive a school bus. I have lived in Johnson City for 40 years. I like to travel -- love the beach and the mountains. I have been to the Dominican Republic to a wedding — It was beautiful! Been to several beaches in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and other places. I am active in my Church, enjoy bike riding, doing activities with my friends such as going out to eat, attending local festivals, movies and concerts, am a Country Music fan, and just recently started line dancing (not great). I enjoy cooking and trying new dishes. I am always open to new ideas and new places. I have two indoor rescue cats, Josie and Lucy, and they keep me entertained and busy. When a friend says, “ Let ’ s go, ” I am ready!

On my bucket list is a cruise to Alaska, a trip to Australia and to visit Arizona.

I enjoyed reconnecting with my classmates and working together on this Reunion. I am excited to see everyone again!
