alizations of the relationship between the sum squared of the legs and the hypotenuse squared for a right triangle. In addition, students can create and design some thing new to investigate. In doing this, students ap ply their knowledge in new ways. Desmos Geome try gives many opportunities for doing this; for ex ample, students can create a unique composite fig ure and find the area and perimeter of their figure (see Figure 7). Likewise, students can create and justify their own transformations using Desmos Geometry (see Figure 8).
Limitations
Figure 6: Exploring Pythagorean Theorem with Desmos Geometry
While Desmos Geometry does include a lot of functionality (see Table 1), it does not include the media tools function that if found in GeoGebra (see Figure 4). This function add images and text within the display window. Media tools allow authentic

geometric images to be imported so that students can investigate the images using geometry tools . For example, an image of a tessellation could be imported to determine the type of transformation(s) that occurred. Another feature missing in Desmos Geometry, when compared to GeoGebra, is the ability to toggle between the graphing calculator and other geometry tools. This functionality allow students to explore geometric and algebraic con cepts simultaneously.
