5. Ballot Issue from National Board Motion 2021-01-12 – Proposes changes to allow officers and directors to continue in office when no election is possible. (As with recent pandemic conditions) Passage would amend the Ruritan National Bylaws, Article V, Officers, Section 3, Term of Office. Current: A. President. The President–Elect after completing their term, shall be installed as President for a term of one (1) year unless otherwise prescribed in these bylaws. B. President-Elect. Shall be elected annually in a manner prescribed in these bylaws and hold office for one (l) year or until a successor is elected and installed. C. Secretary. Shall be elected for a three (3) year term. D. Treasurer. Shall be elected for a three (3) year term. E. National Directors. Twenty-one directors will be elected for a three (3) year term. Seven (7) will be elected for a full term each year with no more than two (2) elected for full terms from the same state in any one year. Proposed: A . President.
