be known

Becoming known in the industry starts with showing up. Attend events, network, and make connections that go beyond just a handshake. When you consistently put a face to your name, people remember you. Whether it’s attending the NRV Home Expo, educational seminars, or the Golf Tournament, each event is an opportunity to build visibility. The more people see you actively engaging, the stronger your reputation grows within the community.

be supportive

Being supportive goes beyond just attendance; it’s about giving back and contributing to the success of others. Get involved in committees, volunteer at events, and be an active participant. People notice when you are a giver, not just a taker. Relationships grow when you offer support, advice, or resources without expecting anything in return.Your willingness to contribute will build goodwill and make you someone others want to connect with.

be trusted

Trust is the foundation of long-term success. Building it takes time, but the relationships that grow from it are invaluable. Focus on creating long-term, not short-term, relationships. Show consistency, reliability, and integrity in your interactions. Over time, trust will naturally develop as others see you as someone dependable, professional, and committed to mutual success. Trustworthy relationships are built on understanding and delivering value, not just one-off transactions.

18

Remember: This is YOUR Membership — make it work for you. Being a part of this association is more than just joining; it’s about showing up, getting involved, and building relationships that last. Make the most of it. Whether you’re looking for industry insights, marketing opportunities, or meaningful relationships, it all starts with active participation. Take ownership, get involved, and use this membership to grow your business and reputation in the home building community.

Additionally, through involvement in community projects, we demonstrate the real-world impact of construction careers, emphasizing the value these trades bring to our local communities. These efforts are aimed at building awareness, inspiring interest, and laying the foundation for a strong and skilled workforce in the future.
