MOTORNA EVGENIA

Evgenia began studies in fine arts at the Dnipro Art School. She studied at the Dnipro Theatre and Art College (now the professional College of Arts) since 2004 with a specialty in Design. She received higher education at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts (2009-2016), with a specialty in Graphics from where she also has a Master’s degree. She is particularly invested in artistic creativity in book graphics. She prefers such genres as mythological, fairy tale, animalistic, and plot themes.

She participated in numerous regional, national, and international art exhibitions.

Flaming Music of Freedom The central image and accent in the composition is a falcon - a symbol of the eternal desire for freedom inherent in the Ukrainian people. For many centuries, this freedom-loving spirit was forged in the fire of uprisings, public resistance, and national liberation wars. That’s why the space of the painting is engulfed in a symbolic flame. The aspirations of the people of Ukraine for freedom, liberty, and self-determination are also manifested in art, in particular in such an avant-garde and experimental musical genre as art rock, which combines protest notes with the search for characteristic means of expression and bright stylistics. The dynamics of the composition combine the traditional colors of Ukrainian folk art: black, red, and white. Black, the main color of the guitar, represents resistance and determination; red, the color of flame, is a passion for one’s work and to achieve a goal; and white is the color of hope and strength. The additional and important symbol in this work is the geometric star, which embodies the search for harmony.
