TAISIIA SEMCHUK From an early age, I loved to draw and my parents, noticing this, supported my aspiration. So I studied at the art school at Kharkiv Lyceum of Arts from 2006 to 2017. During my studies, I expressed myself not only in drawings but also in dancing and music classes. For several years, I was a member of the school music ensemble, which won first place at the international competitions. But my main occupation was still art. I received my first gold medal at the age of 9 at the VII Open Biennale of Children’s Creativity “From ages 5 to 10" At the age of 14, I took part in the Bright Colors of Germany children’s drawing competition and won the nomination for originality. In 2015, I took part in the international book graphics competition “American Fiction: Dreams and Reality” and won 2nd place. Creativity has accompanied me all my life, so I definitely wanted to connect my future profession with it. After much deliberation, I decided to study architecture. In 2017, I entered the Kharkiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2021 and a master’s degree at the end of 2022 in Architecture and Urban Planning. During my studies at the university, unfortunately, I had less time for free creativity, but it was no less interesting to complete my assignments. That’s how many works of academic drawings and paintings, as well as architectural collages, appeared. But despite these challenges, the desire to create never faded. The last year of my studies was difficult due to the outbreak of a full-scale war in the country, so as soon as I had some free time after graduation, I started painting. It is not for nothing that they say that creativity is a therapy. Therefore, from 2022-2023, I created many different works: from pencil sketches to watercolor paintings.
