Poetry

Self-Aware Allen Kade

i am the rainbow on the surface of an oil slick, the triangle sound in the song you like that no one else can stand, I am more cowbell

I am the smile that crosses you lips days after we have spoken, I am a yellow stripe on an all black shirt I am curvature in the line.

I am definition in the fog- I am clarity in the clutter I am enough and I am plenty

I import good intentions and export full-heart joy I am the pen of Dorothy Parker in the hand of Dickinson

I am a healing scar- a searching, changing being I have risen and still rise I belong and I am here.
