National Treasurer’s Report

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to every Member, Club, District and Director for their tremendous efforts in collecting dues this year. Your dedication has been instrumental in maintaining financial stability for our organization. By fulfilling our obligations, we ensure the long term financial health of Ruritan. I am confident that by working together, we can continue this success. It has been an honor to serve alongside the Budget & Finance Committee, our Executive Director, our CPA and

our investment advisor. Each member of our financial team has made a firm commitment to work together to ensure that our financial goals are met, our funds are spent wisely, and that we follow smart business practices and accepted accounting principles. Their efforts are an asset to our organization. We wrapped up our fiscal year on a good note! Expenses were lower than anticipated in some areas, and we saw a boost in dues revenue because of the new clubs that were opened. Our finance team is committed to sticking to the budget and finding ways to save money when possible. We’re seeing evidence of growth and we’re excited about what that means for our organization, and, even better, the communities that we serve. Looking ahead to the upcoming year, we’re noticing a continuing increase in prices. Therefore, we must focus on responsible financial management. Given the rise in inflation, we need to ensure adequate income to cover any additional costs, primarily through the collection of dues. It’s crucial that each club meets its financial responsibilities by paying dues each quarter. By practicing thoughtful budgeting and sustained progress, we will be in a strong financial position for the next year. So, what’s the plan for 2026? We should keep expanding and starting new clubs. Let’s be open to fresh ideas for helping our communities. We should focus on getting members who are really passionate about where they live, work and play. No need to just get numbers for the club rosters, let’s recruit with purpose. When we share the same goals, we can do amazing things. Let’s keep promoting what Ruritan is all about- Fellowship, Goodwill and Community Service. Open your club doors and your hearts, and work with everyone who comes our way to make our vision of “Creating Thriving Communities Across America” happen.
