Executive Director’s Message

Throughout the year, Ruritan clubs across the country stepped up to help where they were needed most. Members gave their time, their energy, and their hearts to support families, mentor youth, and strengthen their communities. These simple acts of service—done day after day—are what help communities grow and thrive.

I am thankful for the strong financial care shown this year, as shared in the Treasurer’s Report. Through careful planning and responsible spending, Ruritan remained financially stable. The opening of new clubs and the addition of new members also helped strengthen our organization. To remain healthy and strong, we must continue opening new clubs. This is not growth for the sake of numbers. It is about making sure Ruritan will be here for future generations—ready to serve, ready to lead, and ready to help communities thrive. By planting new clubs today, we ensure that the values of fellowship, goodwill, and community service continue well into the future. None of this work happens without people willing to do the work. I want to thank our volunteer leaders, club officers, district leaders, national leaders, and committee members. Their leadership keeps Ruritan moving forward. I am also deeply grateful to the Ruritan National staff for their hard work, dedication, perseverance, and behind-the-scenes support. They support our members, clubs, and districts, manage daily operations, steward our resources, and meet challenges with care and resolve. Their behind-the-scenes work is essential to everything we accomplish together. As we look to the year ahead, we must do so with hope and confidence. Challenges will come, but Ruritan will meet them by working together. Together, we will continue building thriving communities!
