Reports The Chair called upon the National Treasurer, David Thompson, for his report. David stated that the Treasurer’s report can be found on page 4 of the Annual Report with statement and notes on pages 6-13 of the Annual Report. The Chair called upon the National Secretary, Juliann Poff, for her report. Mr. President and fellow delegates: the Minutes of the 91st Annual Convention held in Kingsport, TN, were approved by the Board of Directors. A copy of the minutes is reported in the 2023 Annual Report on pages 25-34. Any referenced attachments are on file at the national office. The Chair called upon Executive Director Sarah Kelly for her report. The Chair thanked Sarah for her report and stated that Ruritans cannot begin to thank her and the staff at the National Office for all the work you do on our behalf. Fellow Ruritans, please join me in thanking Sarah and the National Office staff for their hard work. The Chair called upon John Biery, Chair of the Convention Resolutions Committee. Mr. President, the Convention Resolutions Committee has 4 resolutions it wishes to offer for the consideration of the delegates. John thanked his committee Merlin Scales and Dave Wingot for their help: • Resolution 1: Expression of gratitude and appreciation to the convention committee, speakers, entertainers, facilities, and Ruritan volunteers. • Resolution 2: Expression of gratitude and appreciation to the National Board Members, National Foundation Trustees, and National Administrators. • Resolution 3: Expression of gratitude and appreciation to the United States Armed Forces’ Members and their families. • Resolution 4: Expression of gratitude and appreciation to corrections, dispatch, EMS, nurses, firefighters, rescue and police and their families.
