Summary Fields Objective

• Objective: • Learn to create summary field output, sum the number of entities encountered in the report

• Exercise: Create “EX.14 Component Count Report” • Create a new report titled, “EX.14 Component Count Report” • Report will output: • A table that shows a running count in column one of the table • List of Components in column two of the table • Summary count of the number of components in the table

Set up Component Count Report 1. Insert “Projects” band 2. Insert “Data” band 3. Insert “Folders” band 4. Select “Component” folder in Folders band 5. Insert Label, bind to folder entity,

increase font size to 12 and bold 6. Insert table, delete tableCell3

7. Name tableCell1 “Count”, center the text 8. Name tableCell2 “Component”, center the text
