GENESYS Report Writer

• Provides a development environment for the development and editing of a report • Selecting any report opens the report editor (a customized IDE) with the Report Template populated with controls for that report • When the report is run the report viewer is opened to show the contents (or results) of running the report

Understanding Report Bands • A report consists of a number of bands, each of a different type • A Report Band represents a specific area on a page, used to access data • DetailBands are used to access project information • Any DetailBand may contain a report control • A control is used within a band to display data • Controls how the data is rendered in the report on the printed page
