Blank Report with Detail Band A new report opens with a blank Detail Band at the top of the page Take note of the margins drawn onto the workspace: Top/Bottom margins Left/Right Margins

Adding Label Control Label Controls are used to output data on the printed page. 1. Click the Label control and drag ‐ drop onto the center of the page under the detail band Note: with the label selected, it’s also selected in the Report Explorer on the right side of the IDE. 2. Select the Name field under the Design group and change it to “myFirstLabel” 3. Select the Text field in the data group and change it to “My First Report”
