3. Creation : Bad Things ?
Scripture: Acts 3:21; Isaiah 11:6-9; Rom. 5:12-20; 8:18-23
Hymn:
“Sing Praise to God Who Reigns Above”
Meditation: Scripture begins with God’s finished “good” work of creation — a harmonious, living order of life on Earth. Satan’s interference and man’s sin brought physical and behavioral change to the animal kingdom, the biological balance, and to humankind (Genesis 3:14-19). God’s Way Is the Best First Way When considering life’s pathways for self, family, and society, it is always best to begin God’s way as outlined in His Word and directed by His Holy Spirit. From the standpoint of an unholy sinner, the only way to begin anything with God in this life is to receive Christ as personal Savior, and then proceed to be led by His Spirit. Creation began with God as harmonious and good. Satan and Sin Lead to Destruction & Corruption Scripture clarifies that man’s choices had consequences as natural as creation itself. Instead of the way of goodness, sin lead Satan and mankind onto a destructive course that upset the entire balance of Planet Earth, leavi ng all of God’s creation “groaning” for God’s restoration. Eternity Ahead Promises Restoration from God’s Hand While all bad things came from Satan and the consequences of human rebellion against God, God promises to set all things right (Revelation 21).
There’s a wideness in God’s mercy, Like the wideness of the sea; There’s a kindness in His justice, Which is more than liberty.
