Forward In the communication of God's Precious Word, I make no claim to originality in message or illustration. The ideas for the drawings and messages in this collection have many sources: from children's story books to other chalk-artists to formulation in my own mind as I have meditated upon the Holy Scriptures and reflected upon His glorious creation. I trust that these drawings and their accompanying messages will make a lasting impression upon your mind's eye as they have upon my own. May you find sweet refuge in these illustrations of our Lord's ever-living Word. Since church music has been an integral part of my programs, you will find a standard hymnal helpful in your study through each devotional thought.

Rev. Dwight D. Haynes, a master chalk artist, accordion player, and biblical evangelist, graduated from Piedmont Baptist College of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in 1994 with a Bachelor of Theology degree with youth and music minors. He holds a Masters of Religious Education degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, Lynchburg, Virginia.
Dwight has utilized God’s ministry gifts since 1990 as a Bible teacher, and since 1994 as a Gospel Chalk-Art Evangelist, serving as missionary to extended-care facility residents and nine years in the pastorate. He has travelled with his talents to minister in several of the United States of America and in England, Scotland, and Southeast Asia. His wife, Ann, and two beautiful daughters, Sara Zell and Keli Ann, serve to inspire and relate God’s love to many. Having served as a classical Christian school administrator with a passion for Christian education, Pastor Haynes and his wife enjoy ministry and family together.
Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 1. Agenda for Healing
Scripture: John 5; James5:7-16
Hymn:
"The Great Physician"
Meditation: Is James’ “Prayer of faith” meant for cancer or contempt? What is the predominant theme of Scripture: physical health or spiritual healing? Shall we gather around the 5 th chapters of the Gospel of John and the Letter of James to keep our heart right with God… Know God’s Priority (John 5:13-14; James 5:7-11). A multitude of sick, and Jesus heals only one. Jesus followed up this healing with spiritual concern and instruction. God’s priority is confirmed in 3 rd John 1:2 and again in 2 nd Corinthians 4:16. God’ s priorities are always spiritual, for man’s soul! Absorb God’s Word (John 5:16; Mark 2:27; James 5:12). God’s laws were made for man’s good. Proverbs 4:22 refers to God’s words as, “Life to those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” That thought is echoed in 3:1,8; 16:24; 17:22 and Hebrews 4:12. We must constantly absorb the healing Word of God. Join God’s On -Going Work (John 5:17; James 5:13-16). Note the following word meanings from this passage in James, verses 13- 16: “afflicted,” those who suffer hardship or misfortune; “any sick,” weak, bodily sick and needy; “save the sick,” means discouraged ; and, “healed,” cured spiritually or restored from a state of sin.” Clearly God is always at work around you, and physical strength is granted for spiritual service. Note, the healing is not of the physical, but rather of the sin of discouragement that causes one not to serve God.
The greatest of all miracles was when Jesus saved me! Yes, I know what Jesus did for me.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the L ORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, … : For in six days the L ORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the L ORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
2. Creation : Why Six Days ?
Scripture: Exodus 20:8-11

"We’ll Work ‘Til Jesus Comes"
Meditation: God created a perfect pattern for life, for work and rest, in the creation week. His object was to give an example for the crowning work of creation, God’s namesake & companionship, mankind, to prosper in life on earth. The Supreme Creator-God could have created the heavens and earth in six seconds or in six millennia, but the Divine Trinity chose seven days as the perfect pattern for mankind to follow in work and rest.
Six Literal Days , according to God’s own explanation in the Ten Commandments!
One Day of Rest , and allowing others to rest when it is within the believer’s influence.
A person is better prepared for 6 days of labor… _____A. After an exhausting day of driving, picnicking, fishing, visiting, sight- seeing, mowing…. _____B. By an hour or two spent in a house of worship and a few hours of rest at home with family….
List 6 activities appropriate for the Lord’s Day for which there is little time during six work days:

3. Creation : Bad Things ?
Scripture: Acts 3:21; Isaiah 11:6-9; Rom. 5:12-20; 8:18-23

“Sing Praise to God Who Reigns Above”
Meditation: Scripture begins with God’s finished “good” work of creation — a harmonious, living order of life on Earth. Satan’s interference and man’s sin brought physical and behavioral change to the animal kingdom, the biological balance, and to humankind (Genesis 3:14-19). God’s Way Is the Best First Way When considering life’s pathways for self, family, and society, it is always best to begin God’s way as outlined in His Word and directed by His Holy Spirit. From the standpoint of an unholy sinner, the only way to begin anything with God in this life is to receive Christ as personal Savior, and then proceed to be led by His Spirit. Creation began with God as harmonious and good. Satan and Sin Lead to Destruction & Corruption Scripture clarifies that man’s choices had consequences as natural as creation itself. Instead of the way of goodness, sin lead Satan and mankind onto a destructive course that upset the entire balance of Planet Earth, leavi ng all of God’s creation “groaning” for God’s restoration. Eternity Ahead Promises Restoration from God’s Hand While all bad things came from Satan and the consequences of human rebellion against God, God promises to set all things right (Revelation 21).
There’s a wideness in God’s mercy, Like the wideness of the sea; There’s a kindness in His justice, Which is more than liberty.
And he called his name Noah, Saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed.
4. Creation — All that Water ?

“Near to the Heart of God”
Meditation: God’s great flood receded very quickly from a muddy earth as the tectonic plates moved to open the deep crevasses of the ocean depths. Imagine the turmoil of those waters forming the great canyons and lakes as the continents rose and mountain ranges forming as the earth’s crust jolted. Yet, the ark of God was safe with Noah’s faithful family and animal life sustained to repopulate the world. Noah must have been a tremendous comforter before, during, and after the flood… As he walked daily with God. (Genesis 6:8-9) As he shared God’s blessings . (Genesis 6:18-19) A s he heeded God’s call. (Genesis 6:22)
Lord, speak to me, that I may speak In living echoes of Thy tone; As Thou hast sought, so let me seek Thy erring children lost and lone. O fill me with Thy fullness, Lord, Until my very heart o’er flow In kindling tho’t and glowing word, Thy love to tell, Thy praise to show. 5. A Flag to Follow
Scripture: Romans 14:16-19; Exodus 17:8-15

Meditation: Moses ascribed yet another name for God in Exodus 17:15, Jehovah Nissi — The Lord my banner. As God’s child and namesake, every believer goes forth in this world as an ambassador for Christ to bear the banner of the cros s and God’s sufficiency. Waving faith as the flag of victory only comes as lives are lived… In the righteousness of Christ (Romans 14:16-17a-b)
In peace of mind (Romans 14:17c)
In joy for the journey (Romans 14:17d)

6. The Blessings of Liberty
Scripture: Isaiah 58:1-11a

Meditation: “We the people of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
Freedom Is Only Found in Faith (Isaiah 58:1-6).
Faith Is Only Proven in Action (Isaiah 58:7-8).
Action Brings Approval from God (Isaiah 58:9-11a).

7. Ashes for Purity
Scripture: Hebrews 9:11-15a, 27-28; Leviticus 19
Hymn:
"Is Your All on the Altar"
Meditation: The Old Testament instructed the use of ashes to purify the flesh. The New Covenant demonstrated the use of Christ’ s blood to purify the soul. Psalm 103:14 and 104:29 contrast human frailty in sin and God’s stability in righteousness and mercy. Ashes for Mourning Tamar, 2 nd Samuel 13:19, after being violated. Mordechai, Esther 4:1-3, after BAD news. Ashes for Repentance Job, 42:6, understanding self compared to God King of Nineveh, Jonah 3:6, after hearing God’s Word Daniel, 9:3, before praying to God for help Ashes for Symbols Jesus: -Luke 10:13, A change of mind and way desired -Matthew 12:7, Desire mercy, not sacrifice -Romans 12:1, Living sacrifices, not burnt -Ephesians 5:2, Christ was our sacrifice -Philippians 2:17; 4:18, Christian sacrifice must be Christian service

And Barzillai said unto the king, How long have I to live, that I should go up with the king unto Jerusalem? I am this day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil?... Wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king? Thy servant will go a little way over Jordan with the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward?
8. Last Mile of the Way
Scripture: 2 nd Samuel 19:31-39
Hymns:
"Make Me A Blessing"
Meditation: Barzillai, at 80 years of age, had volunteered every service and sense at his disposal until he finally recommended to his king, David, that a younger more able servant go forward in service as a replacement. David protested, but eventually blessed Barzillai for his sincere devotion and accepted his good wishes. Is your service one that God can bless? Constant Companionship David’s faithful servants decreased as danger increased, yet this one stayed and extended his service beyond his own ability by recommending his own replacement. A true companion desires the good of the other over the good of self. Sharing Servant All of the services that this companion could no longer offer exhibited a life of sharing in pleasures as well as potential dangers. Many could learn from this list of sharing to lighten the stressful load of life for a friend. Honest Humility Both men knew the weakness of the aging servant, yet humility allowed both to step forward in life without disgrace. Pretending from any perspective benefits no one, but honesty always brings the best possibilities to light. Faithful Foresight If everyone walked forward with some foresight, the results for time and eternity would be glorious. Looking ahead gives a foundation to planning today.
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these …. for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
May I introduce you to
this friend of mine
Who hangs out the stars, And tells the sun when to shine.
He kisses the flowers each morning with dew; And, He’s not too busy to care about you. We have a heavenly Father above, With eyes full of mercy, and heart full of love. He really cares when your head is bowed low, Consider the lilies, and then you will know.
9. Lessons from the Lily The word lily in the Hebrew derives its name from another word that means "to be bright, cheerful, to make joyful." Solomon stated (S.S.2:1) "I am the lily of the valleys." Some valleys are dry, some cold, some dark, some with plush greenery growing in them, some barren and some rocky. Jesus is the lily in our valleys-- referring to "an experience that challenges our faith. You may be in the valley of decision! You may need direction and guidance. “ Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; … and he shall direct thy paths. ” (Prov. 3:5-6) You may be in the valley of depression! Your depression may be caused by health problems, emotional problems, circumstances that are beyond your control or prolonged stress. “ LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! …But thou, O LORD, art… the lifter up of mine head. ” (Psalms 3:1-3) You may be in the valley of fear! You are filled with fear due to circumstances that you are facing. Jesus said, ” I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. ” (Hebrews 13:5) You may be in the valley of frustration! You are prevented from accomplishing a purpose or fulfilling a desire. “ Peace I leave with you…. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. ” (John 14:27) You may be in the valley of shame! You've failed. Sin may have stained your life. Luke 4:18 reads that “ Jesus was anointed to set at liberty them that are bruised. ” You may be in the valley of worry! The word "worry" means to "tear apart or to divide. “ Casting all your care upon Him; for he careth for you . ” (1 Peter 5:7) You may be in the valley of sin! Proverbs 5:22 describes such a difficult valley; ” His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins .” Jesus Himself stated in John 8:36, “ If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. ”
And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
10. One Lost Lamb
Scripture: Psalm 1:1-6; 23:2-3; Luke 15:3-7
Hymn:
"The Ninety and Nine"
Meditation: According to Psalm 23, the shepherd’s namesake demands his devoted care of every sheep of his flock. So, God’s children are His pride and joy, the fruit of His labor, and a heritage for His family name. At times, when a sheep continues to wonder off, having to be rescued at the risk of the rest of the flock, a shepherd will break the leg of that sheep and carry it until it heals to help it understand his tender love and need to choose the right paths that have been prepared for all the flock. The way of the ungodly shall parish. Psalm 1:6 reminds us that there are two ways for a sheep to go, and one that leads to destruction. The ungodly are described further as the sinner, never having come to repentance. The scorner mocks the way of righteousness while not even seeing the need for rescue. And, the chaff indicates the worthless, useless nature of a life apart from God’s care. The way of the righteous the Lord knows. Psalm 1:6 also speaks of a better way in life, a way the God desires for all who would put their faith in His redemptive work. The law of the Lord guides, comforts, and provides absolute truth as a foundation for abundant and eternal life. To produce fruit means a life of walking in the works for which He created us in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:10). There arose a cry to the gate of heaven, Rejoice, I have found My sheep!
Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
11. Precious Mothers
Scripture: Matthew 9:18-22; 15:22-28
Hymn:
"Satisfied with Jesus"
Meditation: The word “satisfied” does ring true to the thoughts surrounding the ideal mother. B.B. McKinney penned those words about Jesus in the 1920’s, yet they take on a dual meaning when one thinks of how to live out a mothe r’s faith. The Faith of A Child. (Matthew 9:18-22) A mother of faith never forgets that she too is a daughter. A mother’s faith has two sources: 1. Saving faith as one born into God’s family 2. Growing faith as one who walks close to Christ The Faith of A Child. (Matthew 9:22-28) A mother’s faith also intercedes for her child in prayer. A mother who has not Saving and Growing faith will never be able to sustain a child with interceding faith. Saluting Faithful Mothers (2 nd Timothy 1:5; Romans 6:13) 1. A mother who personally lead her child to Christ. 2. A lady whose mother lead her to Christ. 3. The mother who accepted Christ at the youngest age. 4. Mother who has been saved for the longest time. 5. Mother who has the oldest living child.
I am satisfied with Jesus, He has done so much for me, He has suffered to redeem me, He has died to set me free.
He is with me in my trials, Best of friends of all is He; I can always count on Jesus, Can He always count on me?

12. Table of Thanks
Scripture: Hebrews 12:1-2
Hymn:
"A Parting Hymn We Sing"
Meditation: Hebrews brings to light the many who have parted, yet who remain symbolically in communion with believers as heroes of faithfulness to the Lord. Three servants are seen in this picture of devotion around the Lord’s table. The believer present The “we” emphasizes the striving of those living to endure in faith, reminded of God’s great sacrifice for sin and provision for endurance. The believer past The “great cloud of witnesses” were described in chapter eleven, includin g the “still others” of 11:36, inspire us as those who prove the good life possible. The believer’s Savior— Jesus The one to whom all believers can always look as the ever-living, ever-present Victor and Provider of life.
Give thanks with a grateful heart; Give thanks to the Holy One; Give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son.
And now let the weak say, “I am strong;” Let the poor say, “I am rich,” Because of what the Lord has done for us.

13. Where Love Leads Our hearts stir to carols, candle lights, nativities…as w e try to imagine what it must have been like that night when Jesus came to earth. After 2000 years, we’re still celebrating! “How Great Our Joy” Let earth receive her king! Prophets had said, “Behold, a virgin shall conceive and shall bring forth a son.” Now this was about to become reality to a young, engaged Jewish couple whose hearts prepared Him room. “God’s Love Will Show Us the Way” Mary & Joseph knew the 85 mile trip from their Nazareth home would not end with a welcome in Bethlehem. They began a dangerous journey that required them to depend completely on The Father’s care. “Until the Journey’s End” Mary and Joseph ascended that last, dusty hill into Bethlehem to greet crowded streets, a filled inn, and an innkeeper who would turn away the King of Kings. “If Only” Only Mary and Joseph waited and prepared. The stable wasn’t their plan, but they had learne d that when you trust God, you may witness some amazing surprises. “Expecting A Miracle” The Long wait was over. In the skies overhead, a choir of angels announced the Savior’s birth with a concert of praise, a royal declaration of hope for man. “Birthday of A king” The Good news of Messiah’s birth went first to local shepherds. Then a star proclaimed it to scholars in a distant land. Both came to Jesus to worship. “Keep the Promise” Perhaps, like Mary and Joseph, you anticipate the wonder of C hrist’s birth. Maybe you come to find the holiness of His presence or searched for a long time. God’s love has led you here today. “Love Calls You Home” Love called from the manger. Years later it spoke from a cross when Jesus gave His life, a gift beyond what we could imagine or deserve. His resurrection was love’s greatest victory. And , soon this conquering Savior will return to call believers home forever.

14. Triumphal Entries
Scripture: Luke 19:28-40
Hymn:
"Victory in Jesus"
Meditation: Can one keep silent about the Christ who has entered their heart with newness of life? In order to live in the victories of life, let Christ’s entrance sp ur testimony that points others to the King of Kings! Christ’s entry brings eternal life (John 11:25) Christ’s entry brings a covering of righteousness (John 19:23; Revelation 3:5) Christ’s entry brings blessings over curses (Galatians 3:13-14) Christ’s entry brings triumph over sorrow (Isaiah 53:3-4) Christ’s entry brings victory in life’s battles (John 19:34; Isaiah 2:4)
Because He Lives I can face tomorrow;
Because He Live All fear is gone; Because I know he holds the future, This life is worth the living Just because He Lives!
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15. Temple Feasts
Scripture: John 1:14; Revelation 21:3
Hymn:
"Heaven Came Down"
Meditation: The feasts of the Old Testament pictured the Christ of the New Testament. They were symbolic celebrations depicting aspects of God’s entrances into the world on behalf of mankind. What does Jesus bring to our tabernacle of faith when we allow Him entrance? Refreshment (John 7:37) An invitation to drink of the ever-flowing Holy Spirit. Rejoicing (John 8:12; Isaiah 9) A proclamation of joy in the light of lights. Rest (John 9:14; Matthew 11:28) An assurance for all to rest in His powerful might.
Feasting on the riches of His grace, Resting ‘neath His shelt’ring wing, Always looking on His smiling face, That is why I shout and sing. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Sweetest Name I know, Fills my every longing, Keeps me singing as I go.
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
16. Sower of Precious Seed
Scripture: Matthew 13:24-30; Psalm 126
Hymn:
"Bringing in the Sheaves"
Meditation: Humming t he song about “sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness” does no good unless believers practice the principle of sowing and reaping of the precious seed of the Gospel. Why does _______ church exist? Did Jesus not leave His church here to sow the good news by proclaiming the salvation message to every individual on earth. You must once again work the farm for Christ! By Clinging to the Joy of Your Salvation (Psalm 126:1-2) Do you remember the field of sin out of which Christ tenderly harvested your soul? By Praying for God’s Continual Help (Psalm 126:3-4) Do you pray for God’s Spirit to direct you continually to souls into which you can sow that precious seed? By Sowing the Gospel Seed (Psalm 126:5-6) If you expect to see a harvest of saved souls, then you must get to the point of sharing the message that Jesus came to save souls, died for sinful man, and lives to save all who call upon Him for forgiveness.
We shall come rejoicing Bringing in the sheaves!
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
17. Faithful Daniel
Scripture:
Daniel 1:8;6:1-23; Colossians 3:17
Hymn:
"I Will Serve Him, Because I Love Him"
Meditation: Daniel certainly lived a life of singular purpose to serve his Heavenly Father. And, while God placed Daniel in key positions to exhibit the power of the Almighty, Daniel’s need to focus on right outweighed every circumstance which called for compromise. If believers today could maintain three focal points of Daniel’s strength, then God’s deliverances would outnumber life’s disappointments. Purpose of Mind to Honor God Daniel decided early on in life to think only in terms of honoring God with his life. Purpose of Prayer to Seek God A constant dependence on God’s guidance, wisdom, and Word marked Daniel’s life and decision -making process. Purpose of Plans to Endure for God With no escape plan or easy-out enter ing Daniel’s mind, he simply pressed ahead with God’s Word of righteousness.
Standing by a purpose true, Heeding God’s command, Honor them, the faithful few! All hail to Daniel’s band! Dare to be a Daniel, Dare to stand alone! Dare to have a purpose Firm! Dare to make it known!

18. Guiding Lights
Scripture: Psalm 34
Hymn:
"Jesus, Savior Pilot Me"
Meditation: Look to the guiding lights of God for a peaceful journey over life’s tempestuous sea. The theme of hope for the human state ripples through Scripture with solid foundations in the many assurances of God’s character, presence, and provision in the following areas: The Light of God’s GOODNESS. (Psalm 34:1 -7) Notice how this Psalm begins with a personal statement of praise as well as an invitation for others to rejoice in the Lord’s loving goodness toward humanity. God’s love gives, expecting nothing in return — a love all should seek to demonstrate — a love worthy of praise. The Light of God’s MERCY. (Psalm 34:8-14) Understanding God’s compassion on human need helps believers to endure the struggles. However, the light of mercy also warns of consequences for sin, just as a lighthouse on the shore warns of danger. The Light of God’s GRACE. (Psalm 34:15-22) God’s favor , the literal translation for grace, comes only with the price of redemption. The last verse in this chapter reminds all who hope for the guiding lights of goodness and mercy through life that they come only with the price of Jesus’ payment for sin. Only those who “take refuge” in that redemptive plan by faith in Christ also have access to the lights of hope. Chart and compass came from Thee: Jesus, Savior, pilot me.
And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
19. Back to Bethel
Scripture: Genesis 28:10-22; Ephesians 1:17-23
Hymn:
"The Light of the World Is Jesus"
Meditation: Bethel means “a place of light.” It was the site, recorded in Genesis 12:1-3, where God established His covenant with Abraham to raise up the Hebrew people out of his seed to bless the entire world. In this place, God renewed that same covenant with Jacob in that great vision of the ladder into heaven according to Genesis 28:10-22. Genesis 35 notes a renewal of these vows between God and Jacob once again at Bethel. This vision of Jacob’s experience with heaven’s entryway assists every believer to realize the heavenly and spiritual contents of FAITH as revealed in Ephesians 1:17-23. Know Your Calling Is From Above (Eph. 1:18a) “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened” refers to the Holy Spirit’s intervention in the believer’s life to make the Word of God understandable and the mission of God evident in one’s call to action from above. Know Your Reward Is Kept Above (Eph. 1:18b) “…That you may know…what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints” clearly indicates that the believer’s reward is yet to come, stored up in heaven where Jesus prepares a place for His own. Know Your Strength Is From Above (Gen. 1:19-23) “According to the working of His power” ensures believers that the insufficiency of self is fully backed up by the sufficiency of God’s power in Christ Jesus through His witnesses to live for His purposes!
Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God: Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: wh ich keepeth truth for ever….
20. Hope in the Storms of Life

Meditation: Many seek the temporary stability of substance or even provide the promise of prosperity only to find that humanity slips away into eternity with nothing in hand. However, the peace the God secures for believers begins in time and lasts through eternity. SEEK TRUE PEACE… Peace WITH God. Job 22:21,26 , “Now acquaint yourself with Hi m, and be at peace; Thereby good will come to you. For then you will have your delight in the Almighty .” Romans 5:1,8 , “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Ephesians 2:14-17 , “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation…And He came and p reached peace to you .” Peace OF God. Philippians 4:7 , “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (See also Matthew 8:23-27, Deuteronomy 31:6; Hebrews 13:5)
Peace, peace, wonderful peace, Coming down from the Father above; Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray, In fathomless billows of love.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
21. Horn of Spiritual Plenty
A familiar Thanksgiving ornament for centuries comes from the Greek myth that depicts the magical ram’s horn, the cornucopia, that satisfied Zeus. It was believed that this “horn of plenty” never ran out of fruit. This cornucopia symbol for our modern-day Thanksgiving season truly captures the biblical description of the Christian’s heart that is controlled by the Holy Spirit — able to produce unlimited supply.
God’s word challenges an d equips every believer to Get the Fruit of The Spirit out of your heart of plenty!
By Hearing the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:15-21) 18 And don't get drunk with wine, which [leads to] reckless actions, but be filled with the Spirit :
19 speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music to the Lord in your heart, 20 giving thanks always for everything ….” The Holy Spirit of God must be “in us” as well as “in control of” us.
By Helping the Holy Spirit (1 st Thess. 5:18-19)
“ 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit” Believers respond to the riches in Christ with either thankful obedience or ungrateful rejection.
By Heeding the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16-26) 19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious….
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 gentleness, self-control. 25 If we live by the Spirit, we must also follow the Spirit . We must be thankful for the bountiful fruit God can produce in your life everyday through your seasons of sickness, stress, and strain in life — His love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self control never end from the heart of plenty in Christ Jesus!
I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, Ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
22. Faith Like A Seed
Scripture: Matthew 17:19-21; 13:31-32; Luke 17:5-6

Meditation: Jesus holds up the smallest seed commonly planted in His day to demonstrate the process of faith. The natural course of a seed is growth, and His followers were reminded that even the small seed could move the earth with great power, mature to great beauty, and provide for others at its maturity. Faith Begins in Christ. (Ephesians 2:1-10) A seed is dormant unless stimulated to life by planting. The smallest seed of humblest beginnings gives perspective to humanity when compared to Holiness. So it is that spiritual life in humanity comes only from above, and when human faith is placed in Christ alone, that instant life springs into man’s soul. Faith Grows when Nurtured. (1 Peter 2:2; 2 Pet. 3:18) A sprouting seed that never grew would be called “stunted” and “abnormal.” A Christian life that lacks growth in wisdom, knowledge of God, and maturing ways also gets labeled from God’s Word as unnatural “babes,” “weaker,” “carnal,” etc. New life in Christ, the water of God’s Word, and the blessings of God’s Holy Spirit nurture the willing, obedient believer to ever growing life (see 2 Corinthians 4:16). Faith Blesses when Flourishing. (Galatians 5:22-25) Notice that faith that matures becomes a blessing to others, as the Mustard Plant provided beauty, shade, protection, and nourishment to many.
Faith is the Victory, we know That Overcomes the World!

24. Safe to the Rock of Ages
Scripture: Psalm 71

Meditation: The Eagle’s nest is higher than any predator can reach. So, our Lord is a refuge above the reach of all evil. His holiness and purity are accessible only o n the wings of Christ’s righteousness. Praise the Lord in the beauty of His holiness, because He is… Our Refuge of Understanding (Psalm 71:1-8) Verse 2 speaks of God’s justice in setting things right. He is our active advocate when those who are wicked act out against those who trust in the Lord. He truly knows our situation and understands our trials. Our Rock of Unchanging Love (Psalm 71:9-15) In biblical times, the Amalakite masters abandoned their Egyptian slaves to starve and die once they were aged and weak. Rest assured that God’s love never expires for those in His care.
Our Resource of Power (Psalm 71:16-24) We are to praise God’s work by recognition.
We are to proclaim God’s wonders to generations We are to promote God’s faithfulness ‘til departure.
Rock of Ages, Cleft for Me; Let me hide myself in Thee. Let the waters and the blood, From thy wounded side which flowed, Be for sin the double cure, Save from wrath and make me pure.
25. Worship Him
Shepherds & Wise men: Matt. 2:2, “Where is he that is b orn King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.” Believers Today: John 4:23- 24, “ But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” Unbelievers who do not know Him may come to worship Him: Acts 17:23, “For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.” The Angels Response to Jesus' Birth: Heb 1:6, “And again, when he brings in the first born into the world, he says, And let all the angels of God worship him.” Christ is worshipped in Heaven: Rev. 4:10, “The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne” His power demands worship: Rev. 14:7, “Saying with a lo ud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” The only One who must be worshipped: Rev. 19:10, “And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Worship Christ: God Incarnate, Savior, Lord and King: Acts 4:12, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Ever wondered how you were created? Who designed you to be a thinking, living and very wonderfully made human being? The Bible tells us that "God created man in His own image… male and female created He them." (Genesis 1:27) Psalm 139:14 praises God, "for I am fearfully and wonderfully made." We love to enjoy that which we create ourselves. God loves you, "but your iniquities [sins] have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you , that he will not hear." (Isaiah 59:3)
Good News is found in Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." So, YES, we can once again know our creator, God, and spend all eternity in His presence in
heaven. "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
