Meditation: The Eagle’s nest is higher than any predator can reach. So, our Lord is a refuge above the reach of all evil. His holiness and purity are accessible only o n the wings of Christ’s righteousness. Praise the Lord in the beauty of His holiness, because He is…  Our Refuge of Understanding (Psalm 71:1-8) Verse 2 speaks of God’s justice in setting things right. He is our active advocate when those who are wicked act out against those who trust in the Lord. He truly knows our situation and understands our trials.  Our Rock of Unchanging Love (Psalm 71:9-15) In biblical times, the Amalakite masters abandoned their Egyptian slaves to starve and die once they were aged and weak. Rest assured that God’s love never expires for those in His care.

 Our Resource of Power (Psalm 71:16-24) We are to praise God’s work by recognition.

We are to proclaim God’s wonders to generations We are to promote God’s faithfulness ‘til departure.

Rock of Ages, Cleft for Me; Let me hide myself in Thee. Let the waters and the blood, From thy wounded side which flowed, Be for sin the double cure, Save from wrath and make me pure.
