21. Horn of Spiritual Plenty

A familiar Thanksgiving ornament for centuries comes from the Greek myth that depicts the magical ram’s horn, the cornucopia, that satisfied Zeus. It was believed that this “horn of plenty” never ran out of fruit. This cornucopia symbol for our modern-day Thanksgiving season truly captures the biblical description of the Christian’s heart that is controlled by the Holy Spirit — able to produce unlimited supply.

God’s word challenges an d equips every believer to Get the Fruit of The Spirit out of your heart of plenty!

By Hearing the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:15-21) 18 And don't get drunk with wine, which [leads to] reckless actions, but be filled with the Spirit :

19 speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music to the Lord in your heart, 20 giving thanks always for everything ….” The Holy Spirit of God must be “in us” as well as “in control of” us.

By Helping the Holy Spirit (1 st Thess. 5:18-19)

“ 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit” Believers respond to the riches in Christ with either thankful obedience or ungrateful rejection.

By Heeding the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16-26) 19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious….

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 gentleness, self-control. 25 If we live by the Spirit, we must also follow the Spirit . We must be thankful for the bountiful fruit God can produce in your life everyday through your seasons of sickness, stress, and strain in life — His love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self control never end from the heart of plenty in Christ Jesus!
