11. Precious Mothers
Scripture: Matthew 9:18-22; 15:22-28
Hymn:
"Satisfied with Jesus"
Meditation: The word “satisfied” does ring true to the thoughts surrounding the ideal mother. B.B. McKinney penned those words about Jesus in the 1920’s, yet they take on a dual meaning when one thinks of how to live out a mothe r’s faith. The Faith of A Child. (Matthew 9:18-22) A mother of faith never forgets that she too is a daughter. A mother’s faith has two sources: 1. Saving faith as one born into God’s family 2. Growing faith as one who walks close to Christ The Faith of A Child. (Matthew 9:22-28) A mother’s faith also intercedes for her child in prayer. A mother who has not Saving and Growing faith will never be able to sustain a child with interceding faith. Saluting Faithful Mothers (2 nd Timothy 1:5; Romans 6:13) 1. A mother who personally lead her child to Christ. 2. A lady whose mother lead her to Christ. 3. The mother who accepted Christ at the youngest age. 4. Mother who has been saved for the longest time. 5. Mother who has the oldest living child.
I am satisfied with Jesus, He has done so much for me, He has suffered to redeem me, He has died to set me free.
He is with me in my trials, Best of friends of all is He; I can always count on Jesus, Can He always count on me?
