NARRATIVE

The Human Resources office provides high-quality services to our customer base in a timely and professional manner while striving for continuous improvement in the delivery of our services. The office serves as a partner to the various departments by providing training opportunities for employees, compensation administration, benefits communication and administration, employee recognition and management consultation. FY 2024-2025 ACCOMPLISHMENTS • Recruited and filled the Director of Planning and Building, Director of Engineering, and Director of Finance positions. • Implemented the new hire portion of an electronic onboarding platform. • Implemented a digital storage system for employee and Human Resources records. • Conducted a complete revision of the Employee Rules and Regulations. • Processed five (5) retirements and assisted these individuals with the benefit transition. • Recognized police academy graduates at the Police Department graduation reception. • Held multiple employee morale events such as Public Service Recognition Week, • Redesigned the current hiring process to align with the new electronic onboarding system and VRS Hybrid administration changes. Initial new hire appointment duration was reduced from forty-five minutes to an average of ten minutes per person. • Conducted a market study on all Pay Plan positions to ensure salaries aligned with the market. Valentine's Day cookie delivery, retiree brunch, and Halloween social. • Transitioned employment fingerprinting to the Human Resources Office. FY 2025-2026 OBJECTIVES • Facilitate wellness activities during the year, including the annual health fair, to provide preventative wellness services to employees and promote healthy lifestyles. • Transition Change of Status forms from paper to an electronic version. • Continue with the conversion of all current and terminated employee files to a secure digital storage platform. • Conduct NeoGov application process and onboarding training for hiring managers. • Initiate the career ladder program structure that will allow some positions an opportunity for career paths.
