Remaining GL Source Document Content - Capturing Our Geospatial Library Entity Description and Mission
The system description and mission statement were identified in the requirements analysis. This information should be captured in the system model. 1. In the Project Explorer panel, select Component 2. Create “Geospatial Library” (via ribbon, context menu, double ‐ clicking Component , or the Create panel) 3. Copy/paste the system description from Excel into the Description attribute of the Geospatial Library Component 4. Copy/paste the Mission Statement from Excel into the Mission attribute of the Geospatial Library Component

Completing Our Geospatial Library Entity We should complete the initial definition of our system by setting the Type and relating it to the Document 1. Set the Type to “System” 2. Double ‐ click the relationship documented by to edit the targets 3. Select “DOC.1 GL Source Document” 4. Click Add 5. Click Close
Systems are captured in the Component class. “System” is a relative context or role (our system may be someone else’s subsystem).
