MILITARY APPRECIATION & BRAIN INJURY AWARENESS NIGHT AT SALEM RED SOX
In August of 2023, we celebrated our military, raised awareness, and officially changed our name from Brain Injury Services of SWVA to Brain Injury Solutions with over 175 supporters, clients, staff, and volunteers!
LEWISGALE’S JOGGIN’ FOR YOUR NOGGIN In March, we had several hundred people sign up to support survivors of brain injury through participating in a 5k or 1 mile fun. Through the support of participants and sponsors, we were able to raise over $7,000 for survivors of brain injury!
WINTER WISHES
Winter Wishes' brings hope during the holiday season to survivors of brain injuries by providing a needed gift. For some that means a gift card to Walmart and for others it's a needed item like a new set of pots and pans or a blanket. In 2023, we reached our goal of $3,000 and were able to provide gifts to 56 survivors of brain injury! The gifts included household items for a newly housed pregnant survivor, a practice drum set, compression socks for a survivor who often misses appointments due to swelling in their legs, a journal and pen set, a tablet so a survivor can participate in online support groups and other trainings, and many more!
