The course content and activities prepare participants to recognize and respond quickly to emergencies, while preventing drowning and injuries. * Attendance to the entire class session is mandatory. Prerequisites: (will be tested on the first day of class) • Swim 300 yards continuously • Starting in the water, swim 20 yards, surface dive seven feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface, kick 20 yards back to the starting point with the object without having your face submerge under the water and exit the water without using a ladder or steps, within one minute and 40 seconds. • Tread water for two minutes using only legs.

AMERICAN RED CROSS ADULT AND PEDIATRIC FIRST AID/CPR/ AED TRAINING What would you do if a friend or family member col lapsed and was unresponsive? This American Red Cross course is designed to teach you skills that you need to know to give immediate care to a person in distress until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. The course will teach participants to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies.
