The course content and activities prepare participants to recognize and respond quickly to emergencies, while preventing drowning and injuries. * Attendance to the entire class session is mandatory. Prerequisites: (will be tested on the first day of class) • Swim 300 yards continuously. • Starting in the water, swim 20 yards using front crawl, surface dive seven, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object without having your face submerge under the water and exit the water without using a ladder or steps, within one minute and 40 seconds. • Tread water for two minutes using only legs.

American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Training This American Red Cross course is designed to teach you skills that you need to know to give immediate care to a person in distress until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. The course will teach participants to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. Ages: 13+ Minimum Enrollment : 4

American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Training This class is your chance to gain the knowledge and skills needed to teach lifeguard candidates and staff your pools. This class requires online work that must be complete before the first day of class. Participants must have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard certificate to enroll in this course.
