Christiansburg Aquatic Center Activity Guide Winter 2023

Aqua Fit HIITs Frequency, Intensity, Time, Type; High Intensity Interval Training Aqua Tabata is a specific cardio based HIIT training! This workout consists of 8 cycles of Work: Rest intervals. Each cycle is 4 minutes consisting of 8 exercises (20 sec each) followed by 10 seconds REST. Additional recovery time is planned in between EACH cycle of exercises. The instructor provides suggestions for working out in an aquatic environment. Progressions and modifications help make this a suitable workout for ALL fitness levels! Leisure Pool. GlideFiit HIIT Me Baby One More Time… This class utilizes GlideFit Aquatic Boards as platforms on the water to add a new level of stability and core strength to your training! While you are performing exercises on the GlideFit Board, it will be necessary to enter the water to get onto the board. High intensity interval training. *General comfort level in water up to 5 feet is recommended. Moderate to high-intensity workout. Leisure Pool . Limited spots available!
