This program will help inform participants whether a new resident to Christiansburg or a lifelong resident by providing them with information they need to know from the town’s citizen alert program to senior lock box and everything in between. We will meet at the Recreation Cen- ter before departing for a driving tour of Christiansburg. PRE-REGISTER. That’s why Carilion Trauma Services is joining forces with the National Council on Aging (NCOA) and the Falls Free ® Coalition. While falls are the leading cause of both fatal and nonfatal injury for people 65 years of age and older, they are not an inevitable part of aging. This year’s Fall Prevention Awareness Day theme, Take a Stand to Prevent Falls, seeks to raise awareness about how to prevent fall-related injury among older adults. Friday, Sept. 20 at 1-6 p.m. we welcome Radford’s Mason Blood Drive at Radford Parks & Rec- reation Dept. in Multi-purpose rooms 3 and 4. Your blood donation can be transfused in its original form, or it can be used to help multiple people when technicians separate it into its specific components of red cells, plasma and platelets. Every day, blood donations help save the lives of children and adults fighting to survive cancer, blood disorders, traumatic injuries and more.
