Eligibility Policy for Youth Team Sports Non-Resident/non-taxpayer will be assessed an additional fee. Non-Resident (NR) must attend school in the Christiansburg school district to be eligible to play. No request will be taken (straight draft). The Christiansburg Parks and Recreation Department in all athletic programs will revert back to VHSL rules as a standard if not addressed in local league or specific organizational rules. Late Registration policy is as follows: TWO WEEKS OF LATE SIGNUP WILL BE TAKEN AFTER REGISTRATION END DATE. $10 LATE FEE FOR ALL REGISTRATIONS TAKEN AFTER REGISTRATION ENDS. AFTER THE TWO-WEEK LATE SIGNUP ENDS, ANY REGISTRATIONS THAT OCCUR WILL BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST. YOUTH BASKETBALL Minor, Major, and Senior ages as of: March 1, 2026 Minor, Major and Girl’s senior 10ft goals and 28.5 ball. Boy’s senior 10ft goals and 29.5 ball. Cannot be playing on a High School team.
