CHRISTIANSBURG FARMERS MARKET Dates/Times: Thursdays, May 15 - October 30 th from 3-7 p.m. Location: Christiansburg Huckleberry Park Playground Pavilion Admission: FREE

Additional Information: The Christiansburg Farmers Market features local farmers and vendors each Thursday. Seasonal pro duce, plants, fresh baked goods, crafts, fresh flowers, and handmade jewelry are some items available for purchase. Items for purchase vary week-to-week. Check our Facebook page for details about weekly themes, prizes, vendors, and live music.

ROCKIN’ MAIN STREET CONCERT SERIES Dates/Times: Saturday, September 27 at 5 p.m. Location: E. Main Street Admission: FREE Additional Information: Come enjoy a variety of foods from food trucks from across SW Virginia! Beer and wine will be avail able for purchase. Lucas Fowler & Ol' Fashion will start off the show at 5 p.m. with consistent favorite, Lyn Avenue, headlining at 7 p.m.

GETTING SCARY ON THE HUCKLEBERRY 5K RACE AND TRUCK OR TREAT Dates/Times: Saturday, October 25 at 9 a.m. Location: Christiansburg Recreation Center Fee: $30 by October 10

Additional Information: Race participants will begin and end the 5K at the Christiansburg Recreation Center. After the race, participants can enjoy free breakfast prepared by Parks and Recreation staff and reunite with their children for the annual Truck or Treat event. Trucks from Christiansburg Fire, Police, Rescue, Public Works, and others set up in the back-parking lot of the Recreation Center for kids and kids at heart to look at and touch. CALLS FROM THE NORTH POLE Ages: 8 and younger Date/Times: December 15 and December 16 starting at 5:30 p.m. (we will use the 17 for additional calls as needed.) Registration Ends: Monday, December 1st at 5 p.m. Additional Information: The Christiansburg Parks and Recreation Department has arranged for Santa to personally call chil dren 8 years old and younger on December 15 th and 16th. For Santa to call, you need to register online at https://www.chris tiansburg.org/1101/The-Joys-of-Christmas by December 1st. Santa may need more time to call all the children, so if you do not receive a call on December 15th, you will be called on December 16th. Please keep your phone line open. Additional Information: Come out and join us for A Small Town Christmas Stroll! We will have Christmas Parade floats (there will be a vote on who is the best!), our Christmas Market Vendors, food trucks, and more! Also, Santa will be making an appear ance from the North Pole.
