Work Hours

Work Schedules

Work schedules for employees may vary throughout the organization and depend upon customer requirements. Dr. Beamer, or her designee, will advise employees of their individual work schedule. Staffing needs and operational demands may necessitate variations in starting and ending times, as well as variations in the total hours that may be scheduled each day and week.

Normally, however, standard office hours are, as follows:

Monday, Thursday & Friday . . . . . . . 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Tuesday & Wednesday . . . . . . . . . . . 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Saturday . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 8:00 a.m. – 12 noon Emergency hours . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . as needed and possible

The Clinic will be closed Monday through Friday from noon to 1:00 p.m. for lunch and at certain other times as will be communicated to employees from time to time. Before leaving the Clinic, employees must have completed their work for the day or evening, such as patient care, client service, and housekeeping requirements.

Overtime

When operating requirements or other needs cannot be met during regular working hours, overtime hours may be required.

Overtime compensation is paid to all non-exempt paid employees in accordance with federal and state wage and hour restrictions. Hours in excess of 40 hours worked per week will be paid at a rate of one and one-half times their base pay rate. A rate of one and one-half times base pay will be paid to eligible employees for all hours worked on Sunday. Time off will not be considered hours worked for the purpose of performing overtime calculations. For example, holiday and PTO pay will not count toward the calculation of overtime.

Overtime is sometimes required, and each employee’s cooperation in accepting overtime work is appreciated. In fairness to everyone, repeated refusal to work overtime can lead to
