Health Insurance

Eligible full-time employees may participate in the Clinic’s group health insurance program on the first day of the month after 60 consecutive calendars days of full-time employment. If the employee chooses to participate in the health insurance program, the Clinic will pay one half of the individual’s health insurance premium. This does not include coverage for the employee’s spouse and/or dependents.

After length of service with Community Animal Clinic of 6 years, the Clinic will pay 100% of the employee’s group health premium (not including the employee’s spouse and/or dependents).

The employee may purchase group health insurance benefits for their spouse and/or dependents at 100% of the premium.

Each year, the health insurance package will be negotiated and employees will be notified of the plan for the upcoming year. Due to escalating health care cost, employees are reminded that Community Animal Clinic reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to amend, modify or terminate, in whole or in part, any or all of the provisions of the benefit plans described herein, including any health benefits that may be extended to retirees and their dependents. Employees wishing to enroll in the group health insurance program must conform to the requirements set forth by the health insurance company. The administrator of the policy has no control over the insurance company’s acceptance or lawful denial of anyone to the program. Open enrollment is scheduled for November 1 st of each year, unless otherwise specified or already covered by another insurance program that can be transferred.

Dental Insurance

Eligible full-time employees may participate in the Clinic’s group dental insurance program on the first day of the month after 60 consecutive calendars days of full-time employment.

If the employee chooses to participate in the dental insurance program, the Clinic will pay one half (50%) of the employee’s dental insurance premium. The employee’s spouse and/or dependents are eligible to participate in this plan, but at full cost to the employee.
