Dear Friend, Since 1995, the clinic has grown exponentially and seen many changes. Our hope is that this report provides a brief snapshot into the “good” that continues to happen every day at BHMC, despite the last several years of uncertainty due to the COVID pandemic. No longer known as “the free clinic,” the staff and Board of Directors at BHMC continue to focus on expanding services for those citizens of Wythe and Bland Counties who are uninsured or insured with Medicaid or Medicare. Without the support of our donors and community partners, BHMC would have been unable to complete a much-needed exterior facelift this past year, “Project Raise the Roof.” Patients can now feel proud of their medical home. Our Chronic Care Management program and Healthy Lifestyle Classes continue to support our patients in taking proactive health measures such as smoking cessation and diet and lifestyle changes. Regardless of all the changes, the focus of BHMC continues to be to serve those who otherwise would not have access to high quality healthcare services.
