The Chair recognized the current National Board of Directors and Officers and asked them to stand when their name was called. The Chair asked President-Elect Robin to help him make the next awards. Robin asked all Ruritan members with 50 to 59 years of service, 60-69 years of service, and all Ruritan members with 70 years or more years of service to stand and be recognized by the assembly and President Mike. The Chair stated that Ruritan Forever Participants are planting trees under whose shade they will not sit. They are guaranteeing the continuation of their beloved Ruritan Organization. Those that received a Ruritan Forever status during 2023 stood to be recognized. These 2023 recipients were also listed in the 2023 Annual Report. The Chair stated that membership recruitment ensures the health and stability of the local clubs and Ruritan National. Those that earned the President’s Golden Key in 2023 stood to be recognized. The Chair then recognized and thanked the outgoing non-board committee members, please stand as your name is called.
