DISTRICT: Gulf Area Governor 2023 NATIONAL: N/A EDUCATION: One year of study experience at the Community College level. OCCUPATION: Dairy & beef cattle farmer for 50 years (6 years dairy & 46 years beef); Retired truck driver – 44 years (18 years cross-country and 26 years Wal-Mart); Million-mile safety award accident free; Appointed as driver representative by management to the hiring committee. OTHER: Married to wife, Fairba Russell Cade, for 50 years; Two adult daughters who are married and eight grandchildren; Member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church; Presently serving as Chairman of the Deacons; Personnel Committee Chairman and adult Sunday School teacher; Have also been Pastor search Committee Chairman, Men’s Ministry Director, Nominating Committee Chairman and served as Chairman of the Deacons for four pervious terms; Current member of the Louisiana State Cattlemen’s Association – Washington Parish and President of the Silver Springs Cemetery Association; Previously served as President of the Christian Truck Drivers Fellowship, served as a member and speaker for Gideon’s International – Pike County, MS camp for 12 years; Member of the Mississippi Baptist Disaster Relief team for more than 10 years responding to natural disasters and emergencies nationally and internationally most notably: 2002 9/11 Clean-up and Recovery, New York (feeding responders), 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, Phuket Thailand (construction and painting), 2005 Hurricane Katrina, Mississippi (feeding volunteers and responders), and 2012 Hurricane Sandy, New York (feeding volunteers and responders); Hobbies include visiting and sharing a cup of coffee with neighbors, gardening; singing in the choir, listening to Southern Gospel music and spending time on my farm.
