Ellen Glasgow’s father, Francis Thomas Glasgow, who was the manager for Tredegar Iron Works, had an affair with Emma Jackson, who was a maid that came from the Pamunkey Indian reservation. Through the affair Jackson and Francis Glasgow produced two sons, however William Winfree was the only one to have children. She also includes artwork, pictures, documents that proves her story and her family’s story. Jasmyn Taylor is a rising senior at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and has a minor in Spanish. Taylor plans to attend law school with the hope of improving policy geared toward minorities.
