Bluegrass & Old-Time Fiddlers Convention - This family-friendly event started in 1972 and is still going strong. Held the first weekend in June each year at Veterans Memorial Park, musicians and fans come together to celebrate our local music heritage! Main stage performers will compete in old-time and blue- grass band and individual categories and music is found throughout the campground at multiple jam sessions and workshops. Autumn Leaves Festival - One of the longest running and most successful events in the state, the Autumn Leaves Festival is Surry's largest event. Held in October this festival includes the unique work of over 200 craftsmen as well as concerts and other entertainment all held in the Downtown area. Mayberry Days -This annual four day September festival is a celebration of Mayberry and the simpler times it embodies. There's fun for young and old alike with music, entertainment and, of course, a focus on Andy Griffith and the Mayberry everyone loves.
