The Wythe-Bland Foundation, established in 2005, has been a beacon of hope and progress for the citizens of Wythe and Bland Counties for the past two decades. Through its strategic grantmaking and unwavering commitment to community development, the Foundation has significantly impacted the lives of countless individuals and families. Over the past 20 years, the Wythe-Bland Foundation has consistently demonstrated its dedication to improving the well-being of the community. Some of the key achievements and milestones include: Scholarships : The Foundation has awarded approximately 3,800 scholarships totaling $5,516,809, providing educational opportunities for area students. Community Grants: Grants have been awarded to a wide range of organizations focused on healthcare, education, arts, culture, and social services. Partnerships: The Foundation has fostered strong partnerships with local non-profit organizations and government agencies to maximize its impact.

Funding Initiatives for Quality Healthcare Services The Wythe-Bland Foundation has been a crucial partner in the success of Brock Hughes Medical Center. The Foundation’s support has enabled BHMC to provide essential healthcare services to the uninsured, underinsured, and

insured residents of Wythe and Bland Counties. A Summary of the Foundation's impact includes:

Initial Support: The Foundation's initial funding allowed BHMC to develop a strategic plan, enhance support services, and create a sustainable model for the future. Infrastructure Improvements: The Foundation's support has funded essential improvements to the clinic, including new equipment, furniture, a new roof, and the purchase of the building itself. Ongoing Operations: The Foundation continues to provide vital funding for critical services, such as clinic operations, pharmacy services, and medical transportation. To date, the Foundation has contributed over $6.4 million to BHMC, significantly enhancing healthcare accessibility for the citizens of Wythe and Bland Counties.
