LET'S GO SNOWTUBING – $45 Ages 6+ Sat, Feb 8, 12-6:30 p.m., Winterplace Ski Resort, WV Ride the largest snow tubing park in West Virginia! Join us for a Saturday afternoon of family fun. The snow tubing park has 16 lanes, five tubing lifts, and 600 snow tubes . Sip hot chocolate and take a break in front of the huge natural stone fireplace. The lodge offers a variety of sandwiches, burgers, hotdogs, and more. Participants must be 44" in height to tube. Adult supervision is required for ages 9 and under. Registration deadline is January 25. Course 6717 BOATING SAFETYEDUCATION COURSE – FREE, Ages 16+ Sat, Mar 14, 8-5 p.m., Montgomery County Government Center, Multipurpose Room 2 As of 2016, all operators of personal watercraft (such as jet-skis, Sea Doos, Wave Runners, etc.) and operators of motorboats with a 10hp or greater motor are required to have a boating safety education course completion card on board while operating their watercraft. SPRING ROCK CLIMBING - $30, Ages 13+ Sun, Apr 12, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m., Bozoo, WV Experience some of the nicest climbing in our area overlooking the beautiful New River. This introductory course will teach you about safety, the use and care of equipment, and climbing techniques. Pack your lunch and spend a day outdoors. The course includes transportation, instruction, and equipment, including 5.10 climbing shoes. Although this is an introductory course, it can be custom modified to fit your needs and skill level.
