Also, during this time, Mrs. Isabelle Breth started teaching Bible classes during the day and at night. Her classes were open to those in our church, as well as non - church members. I wonder just how many years she taught those wonderful classes. Her portrait hangs in Patterson Chapel, along with that of Dr. Pat. Those portraits were

Now, if I ’ m not mistaken, Mrs. Breth ’ s Bible classes were primarily for the ladies, but if a man was brave enough, he could come, too, with special permission, and If he promised to behave. And a very few select men did just that.

And let ’ s not leave the men out, here is a great photo of the Men ’ s Sunday School at Westminster in 1947, photographed by guess who, our Mr. Grubb, who does not get included in the photograph. This photograph hangs in the Men ’ s Sunday School classroom upstairs, if you want to take a closer look

at it sometime. It would be so interesting to see who you might recognize. For 30 years, George Richardson, Jr. was the faithful teacher of the Men ’ s Bible Class from 1935 to 1965. 30 years! That ’ s 1,560 lessons that he prepared and presented.
