Letter from the Eo
Kelsey Grow, NRVHBA Executive Officer
Dear Valued Reader, Welcome to the inaugural edition of The NRV Blueprint, a new publication from the New River Valley Home Builders Association (NRVHBA). Since 1976, the NRVHBA has been serving the building community of the New River Valley and beyond, advocating for the construction industry, supporting and educating our members, and giving back to our community. This magazine is designed as a resource for consumers like you, offering valuable industry insights, showcasing outstanding projects in the region, and connecting you with our association members. Within these pages, you’ll discover insider perspectives on the home building and remodeling industry, including current trends and expert advice.
A highlight of this issue is a multi-page spread featuring the 2024 Excellence in Building Award winners. These exceptional projects exemplify the craftsmanship and innovation that define our building community. You’ll also find coverage of our prestigious Builder and Associate of the Year Awards, recognizing companies in our region that go above and beyond for the industry and their clients. By showcasing excellence, we aim to inspire continued growth and innovation in our field. An additional feature of this inaugural publication is our Build Her Dreams project, which highlights the NRVHBA’s dedication to advancing trades education and workforce development. Our comprehensive approach includes microgrant programs, scholarships, interactive events like Touch-a-Truck NRV, and strategic partnerships designed to inspire the next generation of skilled professionals. We call on our community to join us in these efforts. Whether you’re a professional in the construction industry, an educator, or a community member, your involvement can make a difference. By investing in both education and training together, we’re not only ensuring a bright future for the building trades in our region but also creating pathways for the next generation of skilled professionals. At the end of the publication, you’ll find a comprehensive membership directory of the NRVHBA. We encourage you to use this resource to connect with trusted professionals across the home building industry and beyond. Our membership spans a wide range of specialties, including builders, remodelers, trades professionals, solar providers, landscaping companies, and associate members such as mortgage lenders, insurance providers, title companies, and more. We hope you enjoy this inaugural issue of The NRV Blueprint and invite you to engage with the NRVHBA and our members as you consider your next home project. Thank you to our members and contributors for making this publication possible. Sincerely, Kelsey Grow The mission of the NRVHBA is to serve the building community by advocating for the construction industry; educating, supporting, and promoting our members; and giving back to the New River Valley.
