Project Description

The New River Valley Regional 911 Authority, which the Town is a member of, is implementing a new County-wide radio system. The Police, Fire, and Rescue Departments will need new mobile, portable, and desktop radios that are compatible with the new system because the existing radios in use are not compatible. This project provides funding for the Rescue Squad's radios. The funding source will be the proceeds received from the Rescue Squad's transport services fee. Separate radio projects are included in the Police Department and Fire Department.
