Project Description

The New River Valley Regional 911 Authority, which the Town is a member of, is implementing a new County-wide radio system. The Police, Fire, and Rescue Departments will need new mobile, portable, and desktop radios that are compatible with the new system because the existing radios in use are not compatible. This project provides funding for the Police Department's radios. The funding for these radios will come from the General Fund. Separate radio projects are included in the Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
