Project Description

This project will fund the purchase of a third automated leaf vacuum truck used in the Town's annual leaf collection service. Currently, curbside leaf collection utilizes two automated leaf vacuum trucks and is supplemented by a four-person leaf collection crew that uses two single-axle dump trucks and a pull-behind leaf vacuum. The addition of a third automated leaf vaccum truck would fully automate this process. The automated collection process has reduced much of the manual labor involved with leaf collection, exposure to extreme weather, and the associated risk of workplace injury.
